How the transformative power of renewing our minds make us legendary for Jesus in the eyes of our children.

"Do not conform to this age, but be transformed by the renewing your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2

" But He said to me," My Grace is sufficient for you, for My Power is made perfect in weakness...." 2 Corinthians 12:9

I think the greatest testimony to your kids is how you fight for Jesus in your weakness. God doesn't give us a spirit of shame, so don't let the enemy put a cloak of shame around your neck. Just as Paul wrote in the second part of the verse

in 2 Corinthians verse 9 when he stated," Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may reside in me"; our kids need to see us boast in our weaknesses so that Christ's power may reside in us.

Kids need to see when you're at the end of your rope, when your whole world is collapsing down, when your crying in your ashes because they need to see the redemptive, beautiful, powerful, and transformative Grace that fulfills everything.

Sometimes, there are parents who just need to reveal to their kids that they are renewing their minds in Christ as well.

They may see us as superheroes, or legends in a way, but what if we showed them that what looks glorious to them is actually God's grace and provision in our lives? Because- "..to live is Christ and to die is gain."( Philippians 1:20 )

Kids always know when something isn't right with mommy or dad and can become little worriers at times. So they already see it. But what if we showed them where the source of our strength comes from?

If animals in Africa can show their babies where the watering hole is to drink, then why can't we show them Who the living water is? God isn't intimidated by your lacking that He can't make beauty from ashes. But may your beauty come from drawing from the well of His Love and living water than from a life of not following Him and He gives your kids beauty despite your ashes.

Lord, I pray for the person behind this screen. Empower them live a godly life, that they may draw from the well of Your living water and truly KNOW that Your Grace is sufficient for them. That You would empower them to just simply --drink from You, and maybe for some, even for the first time, understand Your Grace is sufficient.

Make their ashes into Your Beauty, Lord.

In Jesus's name. Amen.
